the amazing race
is a no go
just as well i figure
not meant to be

people deserve the truth
i believe that
and i will
NOT
apologize
for encouraging them to seek it

i know what it’s like to be hurt
all too well

and to think
to have the slightest bit of hope
that things will get better
sometimes
that’s all there is
to hold on to

but to lie
to lead someone on
even though you know
how they feel
selfish
intolerable
immoral
shocking
wrong

if you have to lie
keep secrets
to keep doing something
that’s a pretty good clue
you’re doing something wrong

so the question is
don’t you understand that
or
do you not care
either way
inexcusable
i think

sometimes we are faced
with impossible choices
and all you can do
is what you think
is right

say what you will
meddling
interfering
none of your business
how dare you

say what you will
and i will continue to say
what i think is right
